Adventure Play Area

In the summer of 2025, working with Kompan, and thanks to the generous legacy from Mrs Dorothy Coton, we designed and installed a brand new Adventure Playground Area.  It still features the large tyre swing and fire pit area, but we have replaced the old climbing structures with new installations including a seasaw, trail rider, monkey trail, coco-weave swing and a new climbing tower.

The play area has been designed in the ethos of  ‘Natural Play’ and is intended to give children and young people the freedom to play creatively, while allowing them to experience risk, challenge and excitement.

Please complete a Play Area Checklist before allowing your group to use, this is a quick easy visual and physical check to ensure the play equipment is safe for groups to use given that the site is unsupervised.

We recommend that you communicate with other users of the site to organise when you would like to use the play area or campfire circle.
